About my work

I'm a contemporary abstract artist and art story teller living in Northwestern CT.
I live in the woods, inspired by the sensual beauty of nature and organic shapes. When I work, I disappear, lost in the wilderness of process. It’s like writing a love letter to nature. Shapes animate with a life of their own, creating poetic relationships in space. There are no rules when the shapes come together, they form and greet, and I know it’s right when they evoke the euphoria of love and joy!
I work in gouache, acrylic, and multimedia collage using handmade papers, paperclay and found objects. I love painting on anything! Handmade paper, canvas, wood panels, lamp shades, and shoes are among the objects my shapes have adorned.
